In junior development, the term “weight transfer” often causes a severe bug known as “kinetic locking (freezing).” We will debug the physical truth necessary to irreversibly evolve initial velocity by hacking the fluid nature of the human body.

1. The Trap of “Moving the Center of Mass to Start Moving”

In junior coaching, we often hear phrases like the following to encourage quick movement:

  • “Shift your center of mass in the direction of movement.”
  • “Move your center of mass quickly.”

At first glance, this sounds intuitively correct. However, from the perspective of physics and human structural mechanics (the Architect’s viewpoint), this interpretation of “weight transfer = initial velocity” contains a critical system error.

[!CAUTION] System Error: A Slow Cycle of Collapse and Recovery

Treating the center of mass as a “fixed physical mass” and attempting to move its coordinates to another location compromises structural toughness and creates a hopeless time lag. In the world of tennis, where 0.1 seconds matter, this “kinetic locking” becomes a fatal loss.

2. Physical Truth: The Center of Mass is a “Spatial Domain,” Not a “Point

The root of this bug lies in the very definition of the center of mass. Generally, it is perceived as a hard “single point” just below the navel. However, in the “human body as a fluid/elastic entity” consisting of organs, water, and a fascial network, the center of mass is not fixed as a mathematical zero-dimensional infinitesimal point.

In an actual living organism, the center of mass exists as a “spatial domain (surface or volume)” with constant fluctuation.

1. Probability Distribution of the Center of GravityA mathematical formula showing the center of gravity as a probability density function $\rho(\mathbf{r})$ within a fluid-like biological body, rather than a fixed point, where $\mathbf{G}$ represents the expected value of the center of gravity and the mass density function explains 「play」 and 「fluctuation」 in movement.
  • Idling State (Stationary): A certain amount of “play (buffer)” exists within the spatial domain of the center of mass.
  • Advantage: Because this “buffer” exists, the human body can flexibly adapt to any external force.

3. True Initial Movement: Maintaining the Domain and “Dynamic Convergence of the Center of Mass Core

The true initial movement (initial velocity) required by the Architect is a dynamic process of sharply narrowing down only the internal core of the center of mass.

2. Convergence of the Critical StateA mathematical limit formula defining the initiation of movement, where the change in focus over an infinitesimal time $\Delta t$ leads to a Critical State. This represents the moment when the center of gravity core converges to a single point, explosively activating the tension network and enabling movement with zero friction.
StateBehaviorPhysical Effect
Old OS (Movement)Shifting coordinates of the entire domainStructural collapse and generation of friction
New OS (Convergence)Narrowing down (focusing) the core within the domainImmediate activation of the tension network (tensegrity)

Discarding the “static rigidity (kinetic lock)” of moving the center of mass as is, the living dynamic system where the “internal center of mass core is narrowed” for movement is the very trigger that enables smooth locomotion without friction or time lag.

4. Final Update: OS Update from “Collapse” to “Release of Critical State

The reason instructions to “move the center of mass” hit a dead end is because they treat the human body simply as a “rigid block,” lacking the perspective of the fluid dynamic equilibrium inherent in life. To release propulsive force in any direction without loss, the following updates are essential:

  • Do not collapse or fall by shifting the center of mass.
  • Maintain the spatial domain of the center of mass.
  • Sharply narrow down (converge) the internal “center of mass core” for movement.

For a junior’s physically weaker hardware to acquire overwhelming mobility, abandoning muscle-driven push-offs and transitioning to a “physical blueprint” that activates tension through internal bodily convergence synchronized with the split step becomes the absolute dividing line in match results.
